Incandescent Travel Menorah

On Hannukah, if we are unable to light candles, e.g., if one is travelling, it's recommended to light an electric menorah with incandescent lights. (Following our definition of fire being it gives off light, heat, and uses fuel)

There was a common model that used to be around. I think I saw them in hospitals where you couldn't have an open flame. It seems that in the neverending march of progress, everything should be better with LEDs. Beyond one's personal taste of one light over another, we really do need to have incandescent lights to fulfill the mitzvah.

Here I put together a simple battery-powered menorah that uses standard (if you can still find them) mini bulbs from Christmas lights.

Happy Hannukah!
